After already featuring cross-play across its Windows 10 and Steam versions, Dead by Daylight will soon see cross-play and shared progression added to its console versions.
The highly popular horror title will see its Xbox One, Playstation 4 and Nintendo switch features compatible with its PC counterparts, with an update to add the compatibility coming very soon according to the development team.
The team were also pleased to announce their first steps towards complete cross-progression, revealing that it will be available for Steam, Stadia and Nintendo Switch in September. Unfortunately Behaviour Interactive were unable to confirm release timings for its other editions, noting that they cannon confirm if it will ever become available at all.
Despite this, the news of cross-play is certainly a welcome one. With more and more titles beginning to implement the feature, one can hope that it becomes an industry standard in the future.
