Deathloop, the latest videogame being developed by Arkane Studios, has been delayed until early next year. Originally expected to be a timed-exclusive for the Playstation 5 launch, Deathloop is now scheduled to release between April and June.
Arkane Studios, known for their work on the acclaimed Dishonored franchise, cited COVID-19 as the primary reason behind the delay of the game. In a statement that the team shared on Twitter, Arkane noted that the delay will allow extra time to improve the overall quality of the game.
“This extra time will allow our team to bring DEATHLOOP’s world to life with as much character and fun as you’ve come to expect from our team.”
“While we know this is the right decision for DEATHLOOP, we share your disappointment, and apologise for making you wait even longer.”

As far as we know, Deathloop is one of two Bethesda titles that are timed-exclusives on the Playstation 5, with the other being Ghostwire: Tokyo. The game isn’t the only one to be pushed out of 2020, with Halo Infinite suffering the same fate just last week.
