While Beyond Light will be available from November 10, the fully-optimised versions of Destiny 2 won’t be available on Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 until December 8.
Confirmed in an update on Bungie.net, the backwards compatible titles will still benefit from faster load times and cross-generational play but the team will be taking extra time to focus on a number of features, including an FOV slider.
“We are offering Field of View customisation on consoles for the first time. Our goal is to enable a FOV range similar to that on PC. We’re currently testing these settings to ensure smooth performance across each platform and will have additional details closer to launch.”
They also made note of exactly how cross-generational will work. “For cross-generation play, Xbox Series X|S players can play with Xbox One players. PlayStation 5 players can play with PlayStation 4 players.”
