DC FanDome kicked off overnight, and Warner Bros. Montreal finally unveiled the game they had been teasing for what felt like years; Gotham Knights.
Gotham Knights features Batgirl, Nightwing, Red Hood, and Robin as playable characters, and the entire game can be played in either single-player or two-player co-op. Set in a separate universe to the Arkham Series, Gotham Knights follows the death of Batman and how Batgirl, Nightwing, Red Hood and Robin take up the reigns to protect Gotham City from its deadly set of villains.
From the reveal trailer, we can see that the Court of Owls will have a significant presence in the game, likely as the main antagonist as has been rumoured in the past.
Warner Bros. Montreal showed off some gameplay as well, focusing on Batgirl as she worked to find and take down Mr. Freeze who was manipulating the weather to cause destruction on Gotham City. Batgirl was joined by Robin on the mission, who was played by another person, and much like the Arkham Series, Gotham City will be an open-world that players can explore.
Gotham Knights will release next year on Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Playstation 4, Playstation 5, and Windows PC.
