Microsoft Flight Simulator’s First Update Focuses On Japan

During a presentation at Tokyo Game Show, Xbox and Asobo Studios have revealed that Microsoft Flight Simulator is set to receive its first major update soon and it’ll focus on Japan.

The update will see an upgraded digital elevation map across the entire country, high-resolution 3D photogrammetry for six prominent Japanese cities (Sendai, Takamatsu, Tokushima, Tokyo, Utsunomiya and Yokohama), and six handcrafted local airports (Hachijojima, Kerama, Kushiro, Nagasaki, Shimojishima, and Suwanosejima).

Three new Landing Challenges set around Japanese airports will also be added to the game. The update will be available through Xbox Game Pass for PC and on Steam from September 29.

Microsoft Flight Simulator is available now for Windows PC.
