Rocket League Going Free-To-Play

Five years after it’s release, Psyonix has confirmed that Rocket League will soon shift into a free-to-play title.

The shift will tie in with the launch of the game on the Epic Games Store, which will feature cross-play with other platforms. It’s Steam version will no longer be available for download, but those that already own the game will maintain access.

Legacy players will receive a batch of cosmetic items including:

  • All Rocket League-branded DLC released before free to play

  • “Est. 20XX” title that displays the first year you played Rocket League

  • 200+ Common items upgraded to “Legacy” quality

  • Golden Cosmos Boost

  • Dieci-Oro Wheels

  • Huntress Player Banner

Rocket League can currently be played on Xbox One, Playstation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Windows PC. For more information on its move into free-to-play, head over to the official site.
